Kean started first grade today. He was so excited to be going back to school. While summer was amazing and filled with fun days, he was ready to learn again. Being with his many friends was also a plus. We were able to visit his kinder teacher last week and take her some baby presents. She is expecting twin girls in Nov. Then on Friday we met his new teacher, Mrs. Varga. She has been teaching for 20 years and seems very laid back. We are hoping the academics will be as rigorous as last year. Kean kissed his sister good bye this morning, but then was on his way.
After school, he and his best friend Blake climbed some trees and "stalked" Mrs. Sainz (their kinder teacher from last year). We finally had to insist on going home.
It appears it will be another great year!! Thanks for Baba and Barbie for all the new school supplies and to Nana and Pappy for the great new shoes and school outfit. Kean was looking and feeling prepared for school today. Should have some great stories for the end of the week.
